His client list includes NBC, CBS, CNN, CBC, CTV, The United Nations, and dozens of TV stations and online web operations.Tompkins is a regular teacher at conferences including IRE, NPPA, RTDNA, SPJ, NAHJ, BEA, NABJ and he has taught at regional conferences in 49 states over the last 18 years.In 2015 and 2016 he taught in more than 100 locations. The Third Edition of his book "Aim for the Heart" was published in February 2017. AFTH was adopted by more than 150 university journalism and broadcast classes around the world.
